The Value of Mentors

Mentors play a vital role in trainee development. Mentors ensure that trainees are able to embed the SCITT Trainee Curriculum into their teaching practice whilst in their Placement Schools. Placement Schools provide the opportunity to integrate and tailor the SCITT Curriculum into teaching practice and ensure the progressive mastery of the curriculum. Therefore, it is vital that we support the professional and personal development of our Mentors who dedicate so much of their time to grow the next generation of teachers.
