The ITT Core Content Framework, designed by the DfE in 2019, supports trainee development in five Areas of Professional Development:

• Professional Behaviours

Through school experience, trainees will develop the five core areas through:

• Expert colleagues
• Practice and reflection
• Discussing and analysing with expert colleagues
• Observing expert colleagues and deconstructing their approach
• Receiving clear, consistent and effective mentoring
